Celebrate the Holidays in Mexico's spectacular Copper Canyon DAY 1: Arrive in Tucson, "Get Acquainted" welcome reception and dinner. DAY 2: Motorcoach tour of Tucson and the Santa Cruz Valley with a photo stop at the historic San Xavier Mission before boarding the Sierra Madre Express in Nogales, Sonora. Welcomed reception followed by dinner in the observation and dining dome. Overnight aboard the train. DAY 3: Travel across the desert floor to the historic village of El Fuerte. Enjoy local fare and an evening fiesta after a day of activities that includes river rafting on the El Fuerte River. Overnight in the charming Posada Hidalgo Hotel, a grand mansion built in 1890. DAY 4: Depart on the Sierra Madre Express to Divisadero. Ride the Express through tropical vegetation and into the high mountains of the Sierra Madre. Transfer to the Posada Mirador Hotel, perched on the rim of the Copper Canyon for dinner and entertainment by the Tarahumara Indians. DAY 5: Depart to enjoy the day in the lumber town of Creel (8,000 feet.) Shop for native handicrafts befire leaving in a tour of Cusarare, a Tarahumara village with a hostoric mission art museum. Enjoy lunch at a charming lodge nestled in the mountains. Return to the Mirador Hotel for a special dinner and entertainment to ring in the New Year. DAY 6: The morning is free for exploring, shopping, hiking, horseback riding, or relaxing.before returning to the Sierra Madre Express for a mid-day departure. A farewell dinner will be served aboard as you enjoy the majestic mountain sunset. DAY 7: Travel north along the coast to Magdalena, with many opportunities for spectacular photos. Motorcoach back to Tucson for an overnight stay. DAY 8: Breakfast buffet followed by check out and departure.
